The 4th graders spent Monday morning at the Hurstville Interpretive Center. We took a nature hike on the trails and learned a lot about the different types of plants and their seeds. We also saw a couple of trumpeter swans 🦢 fly over us, saw & held grasshoppers, and played a fun game called "Oh Deer!" 🦌 We ended our visit checking out the displays inside the center and learning about a painted turtle, 🐢 a box turtle 🐢, and a milk snake. 🐍 It was a fun morning!😊

The 4th grade class visited Cornelius Seed Company on Tuesday morning. While there, we checked out the one room schoolhouse 📚, watched a presentation on how the company has changed over the years, and toured the seed corn facilities.🌽 Special thanks to Chris and Janie for taking the time to show us around and answer all of our questions! We really enjoyed our visit!😊
Fun fact - all 18 4th graders stood on the scale together, and our total weight was about 1,700 lbs.!😉😂
