The fifth graders did an ugly sweater contest at the end of the day today for their last day before break! Ms. Beth did the judging and decided Paisley first place, Jonah second place and Petra third place!

2nd grade wants to give a shout out and Merry Christmas to the ladies at MSB who take the time out of their day once a month to come talk to the kids about money. This month we took a break and had some fun Christmas games.

Fifth grade has been learning about different cultures in Reading the last couple weeks. They did a research project on how different cultures around the world celebrate Christmas. Today Mrs. Koontz invited some friends from Brazil Nicholas and Nathalia Honario in to talked to the kids about how Christmas is celebrated in Brazil.




Third grade had a fun time with our dress up days this week!!!







The fourth graders had fun in science today. To end the unit and for our last science before Christmas break they learned about making circuits by playing pianos and bongo drums with their computers, bananas and celery!










Friday December 20th, 2024 @ 1:45pm Sacred Heart Chior Students will be performing Christmas Carols at the Maquoketa State Bank. All are welcome to come support and enjoy a bit of Christmas spirit ☃️🎁 before Christmas break begins! ❄️🎄

The Kindergarten class was very excited to make their gingerbread houses today. Lots of future engineers I think!











These 2nd graders received the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Penance for the first time today. Hopefully they come home feeling lighter and with a clean heart! Congratulations!

These band students really enjoyed their ice cream sundae bar party today! Thank you 4th grade band for selling the most Bundt cakes! Also a special thanks to our top sellers Jozie Rubel & Brinley Caven (6th grade) & Kade Foust (4th grade) who the sold most overall respectively in our annual fundraiser for band. We appreciate what you do for our band program!
