‼️Reminder Nothing Bundt cakes pick up ends at 3:30 today!!! ‼️
A big thank you goes out to Macey from the JCC for teaching third graders about insects today! We learned what makes an insect an insect, and how vital they are to the food chain. Did you know there are over one million different types of insects? Besides being pollinators, they are food to some of the 5,000 types of mammals, 6,500 types of amphibians, 9,000 types of reptiles, 10,000 species of birds, and 31,000 different kinds of fish! Wow!!!

the Rockwell Rumor (Nov. 11th-15th)

The 4th graders welcomed Jenna Stevens into our classroom today for an Ag in the Classroom lesson. Jenna showed us how the grains corn, wheat, oats, & rice are used to make the different cereals we eat. Following her presentation, the 4th graders were able to make their own cereal using at least two of the grains that were talked about. They also had to come up with a name for their cereal and design the package for their cereal. There was a of creativity in both the package designs and names of the cereal! Thanks, Jenna, for coming in. We really enjoyed this lesson!

A large round of applause 👏🏾 to these musicians of the month from September!🍁 If you see these wonderful role models ✨around give them a high five for their outstanding performance! 🎉

Last Kindergarten jumping in the leaves.

More Kindergarten jumping in the leaves.

The Kindergarten class had fun on Friday jumping in the leaves as a reward for good behavior. So glad we got it in before all this rain.

4th grade visited the Hurstville Interpretive Center last Wednesday. They participated in a sandbox archaeological dig, hiked some of the trails, and spent time checking out the exhibits inside the building, which included being able to touch a couple of snakes. We had a great time. Special thinks to Macey, a naturalist at Hurstville, for being our leader for the day!
